Throughout my lifetime I've made decisions that have ran the gamut of emotions, from extreme anguish and anxiety to extreme happiness. Those that have caused me great anxiety are the ones I used to fret about the most; wondering why they turned out so bad and of course there was the everlasting question, "how could I have been so wrong?"
However, one has to move on and learn from the mistakes made. I think with me, and it may be the same for you (or not), the problem is to overcome the guilt that sets in after making a decision that ends up hurting someone. Apologies just does not make it right at times. Some people say time is all it takes; "time heal all wounds" they also say. Well...
I'm learning. I've begun to focus more on those times when my decisions were a success; the times when they made others and myself happy; the times when even though they turned out exactly opposite from what I had envisioned, they somehow worked out in the best interest of others or myself.
